Out of a shared fascination for design and architecture, Alberto and Paolo Sala founded Edizioni Design in Milano with Federico Ferrari. Their products are simple and geometric, with shapes that strongly relate to their functionality. In a world where low-edition manufacturing technology, such as 3D printing, is increasingly becoming an end in itself, Edizioni’s products are put in an “out of the pack” position. The technology employed is purposefully “lo-fi,” with stones and metals in a variety of premium finishes. The outcome of this is “naked design,” which is defined as “sleek designs that are also expressive and overflowing with emotions.”
